Download a rummy platform app — store first, APK second.
Most regulated rummy platforms are distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. A small set of platforms publish APKs for direct installation. The desk prefers the store route; an APK is acceptable only when the operator's signature hash matches an audited reference.
Pick the install route
There are two install routes for a rummy platform app. Each carries a different trust assumption.
Store route
Google Play and the Apple App Store enforce a baseline of platform policy review. The store route is the desk's default for adult readers on Android and iOS.
APK route
An APK is a direct install from the operator's own site. Useful when the operator is not in your country's store, or when the operator distributes a build ahead of the store rollout. Trust rests on the operator's signature hash matching an audited reference.
What the install prompt asks for
On Android the install prompt asks for the categories of data the app intends to access: camera (for KYC document upload), storage (for KYC document upload), notifications (for game invites). The desk treats any unexpected prompt — for example contacts or microphone — as a red flag and recommends uninstalling.
iOS — App Tracking Transparency
On iOS the first launch prompts for tracking permission. A rummy platform does not need cross-app tracking; the desk recommends declining the prompt and continuing.
Signature verification — when an APK is acceptable
If the APK route is required, verify the signature hash before installing:
- The operator publishes an SHA-256 hash on its download page.
- The desk has the same hash recorded in its reviews desk ledger.
- The hash you computed on the downloaded file matches both numbers, byte for byte.
