Every regulated operator the desk reviews ships both an Android and an iOS build. The mobile review applies the same five-axis ledger to both, with separate scoring where the platforms diverge.
What the mobile review measures
The five-axis ledger is documented on the reviews desk; the mobile review applies it with three platform-specific tests.
Install size and update cadence
The mobile review records the install size on first install and on the most recent update. A growing install size is treated as a red flag.
Battery and thermal impact
Each review records battery drain over a one-hour session at standard tempo. The desk uses the device's battery-usage screen rather than a third-party monitor.
KYC UX
The mobile KYC UX is reviewed separately because the camera permission flow differs between Android and iOS.
Where Android and iOS diverge
Three platform-specific divergences the desk has observed:
- Background refresh. Android's doze mode can delay notification delivery on some operator apps; iOS delivers reliably.
- Camera permission. iOS shows the camera permission prompt at first KYC upload; Android pre-prompts at first launch. The desk scores the timing of each prompt.
- Update granularity. Some operators release Android builds ahead of iOS because of the store-review queue. The review records the release lag.
